Australian scientists from the University of Adelaide, under the direction of Dr. Sara Robertson, conducted research and found that regular sex increases the chances of a healthy baby.
Experts say that those couples who plan to become parents should have regular sex before conception, in order to strengthen the immune system of the future mother, for which the pregnancy is a serious test.

"We found out that for a healthy pregnancy couples need to have sex before about three to six months," says Professor Robertson. - During this period, the immune system of a woman will grow stronger and will react properly to the process of bearing the fetus. "
To conceive a baby some couples take a whole year. At the same time, a random pregnancy, the cause of which was a short-term relationship, increases the risk of miscarriage and the risk of complications in bearing a child, for example, pre-eclampsia, as well as rejection of the fetus by the mother's body.
The scientists conducted an experiment in mice and found that the mother's contact with seminal fluid was more frequent, the higher was the amount of immune T cells that protect the fetus from rejection by the female body. The fetus is an alien tissue for the body, so that the body takes it, you need an immune tolerance. This is similar to the situation with organ transplantation.
When a woman has regular contact with her father's sperm - a unique immunological sign of a man, then the body can prepare and "not protest" against the fetus.
"This is not so important for conception as for the healthy course of pregnancy," the scientists say.
In the UK, one in six couples have difficulty in conceiving a child. And if their attempts to give birth to a baby are unsuccessful after two years of trying, then most likely they will hear a disappointing diagnosis of " infertility."
Miscarriages occur much more often than many think. In about one in eight cases a woman knows about her pregnancy before the miscarriage, much more often miscarriages occur before the woman finds out she is in position.
