It is known that the quality of products consumed by a person affects his health. In one of the latest studies, experts found that products containing GMOs can cause infertility in men.

Such products contain a large number of pesticides that change the hormonal background of a person. In Boston, a group of scientists proved that fresh vegetables and fruits can contain quite a large number of pesticides that have a detrimental effect on sperm.

For their study, the scientists selected 300 people. All the male volunteers had undergone infertility treatment at different times. The scientists studied their sperm samples and analyzed the diet of the experiment participants. All the volunteers were divided into two groups, one of which had to eat foods high in pesticides, while the other stuck to their usual diet.

As a result, it was found that in the group of men who ate a lot of vegetables and fruits with pesticides, the level of spermatozoa was almost halved, while 32% of men had sperm defects and only 5% of normally formed male germ cells.

As the experiment showed, at least 1.5 servings of vegetables and fruits with residues of pesticides leads to such harmful consequences.

Experts divided different types of fresh vegetables, fruits and berries, and apples, spinach, potatoes, strawberries, peppers and blueberries were included in the risk group (with the highest pesticide content).

The lowest levels of toxic substances were found in beans, grapefruit, avocado, peas, and onions.

In previous studies, scientists have already noted the risk of using sports supplements. As studies have shown, in sports nutrition, energy drinks, and vitamin supplements, the amount of necessary components exceeds the norm by tens of times.

At one of the US research universities, scientists have discovered that muscle-building drugs can provoke testicular cancer, and such supplements are especially dangerous for young athletes.

As already mentioned, beans, avocado, grapefruit, onion contain a minimum amount of toxic substances, but in addition, these products significantly improve reproductive function in men. When consuming such products, not only does the level of sperm not decrease, but the quality of sperm improves, and the vital activity of sperm is restored.

Experts recommend that men of reproductive age consume organic products whenever possible, which are grown without (or with minimal) toxic substances. Such products are the most beneficial for health.

Scientists emphasize that it is not fresh fruits and vegetables that cause harm to reproductive function, but rather the large amount of pesticides that they may contain.

It is worth noting that even slight nervous tension can cause male infertility, so it is recommended that during the period when a couple is trying to conceive a child, they protect themselves as much as possible from negative emotions, experiences and nervous shocks.
