After brushing your teeth in the morning, you want to keep your breath fresh all day long. Some products can help with this, and these are not only special chewing gums that are actively advertised as the only salvation for the oral cavity.

One of the products that can rid the mouth of unpleasant odor is parsley. This plant also perfectly neutralizes the smell of tobacco. Less powerful in their properties are cardamom, coriander, wormwood, rosemary and eucalyptus. For greater effect, the herbs should be chewed as long as possible or brewed into a tea, which can be used to rinse the mouth. Several plants can be combined.

The main cause of bad breath is hydrogen sulfide. Its level can be reduced by natural and unsweetened yogurt. Regular consumption of this product will reduce the risk of gum disease and darkening of tooth enamel.

Sometimes the smell comes from bits of food stuck between the teeth. Fruits and vegetables rich in fiber will help get rid of this problem. These include celery, carrots, and apples. These vegetables not only help clean the spaces between the teeth, they are also very useful for the gums.

To create an environment in your mouth that is unfavorable for bacteria to grow, eat more berries, watermelons, citrus fruits, and other fruits and vegetables rich in vitamin C. Regular consumption of such foods also has a beneficial effect on your gums. Do not replace natural vitamin C with an artificial supplement, as it can cause digestive upset.

Don't forget about green tea, which successfully washes away bacteria from the surface of gums and teeth. This drink is rich in flavonoids, which not only rid the mouth of unpleasant odor, but also whiten teeth and improve metabolism.

It is worth paying attention to fermented milk products. Like yoghurts, they reduce the level of hydrogen sulfide in the mouth and freshen the breath. Also, the substances contained in fermented milk products do not allow fermentation bacteria to multiply and make the oral cavity unsuitable for their life.
