Scientists continue to study the properties of various drinks that people are accustomed to consuming daily, in particular tea and coffee. Various studies have revealed both the benefits and harms of these drinks, which are loved by most people.

Recent work by American experts has shown that tea lovers have a reduced risk of developing cardiovascular disease.

According to scientists, just one cup of tea a day will reduce the level of calcium in the coronary arteries and reduce the likelihood of developing various cardiovascular diseases, including stroke and heart attack, by 35%.

Scientists came to these conclusions after a long-term study that lasted for 15 years with the participation of 6 thousand volunteers.

As a result of observations and studying the health of the experiment participants, scientists found that in the group where it was necessary to drink one cup of tea daily, the risk of developing heart and vascular diseases decreased by 35%, and in the group whose participants drank at least 3 cups of tea every day, scientists found a decrease in the level of calcium in the coronary arteries. It is worth recalling that the accumulation of calcium increases the risk of developing a heart attack. This pathology is the main cause of disability and mortality among the population.

Despite the fact that modern medical advances have a significant arsenal of drugs that help prevent heart and vascular diseases, scientists warn that many patients simply do not suspect the benefits of tea for their heart and neglect this wonderful drink.

Tea contains many substances - amino acids, proteins, alkaloids, minerals and tannins - which have a beneficial effect on various organs and systems of the human body. The amount of useful substances in this drink depends not only on the type of tea, but also on the correct brewing - the taste and health benefits of the drink are largely influenced by the dishes, the quality of the water and other seemingly insignificant details, such as temperature, amount of brewing, brewing time, etc. Also, tea cannot be reheated or boiled, or drunk brewed more than half an hour ago, otherwise tea turns from a healthy drink into real poison.

Scientists are interested not only in tea, but also in coffee. It is difficult to say which of these drinks is more popular, but doctors recommend that some people refrain from drinking coffee, as well as abuse this aromatic drink, since it is possible to develop diabetes or other serious diseases.

But coffee also has beneficial properties for the human body, for example, one of the latest studies found that several cups of coffee a day reduces inflammation and prevents cancer. But hypertensive patients and patients with heart disease should not drink coffee, even one cup a day can have a negative effect on health.

Also, drinking coffee is not recommended for people suffering from obesity, since in this case the likelihood of developing diabetes increases many times over.

In general, both tea and coffee can have both positive and negative effects on the body, but scientists once again warn that one should know the measure in everything and give preference to quality products.
