"The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has established a payment of a one-time cash aid to graduates of medical and pharmaceutical universities who will go to work in the village," said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine S. Tigipko.
"Since July 1 of the current year, a norm has been established that will allow graduates of higher educational establishments in the specialty of medical and pharmaceutical professions who go to work in villages to receive a one-time cash aid of 5 minimum wages (from January 1, 2011 - UAH 941), if they concluded an agreement for at least 3 years, "the minister said at a press conference.
He stressed that such graduates already this year will be able to get almost 5 thousand UAH in the form of such assistance.
In addition, according to him, starting from July 1, 2011, the average salary at the place of work will be preserved for medical and pharmaceutical workers who increase their qualification with a break from work.
Also, the government established a payment for health workers, the so-called health-improving ones, in the amount of one official salary. This rule will be effective from January 1, 2012.
In addition, since September 1 of the current year, payments for the length of service for the employees of the social sphere from 10 to 30% of the official salary are being established. It will receive workers from boarding schools, rehabilitation centers.
The Vice Prime Minister stressed that additional funds of UAH 2.5 billion are needed to implement these changes, and for this the government will ask the parliament to make appropriate changes to the state budget for the current year.
