The new list of the healthiest foods includes 12 items. Scientist Johnny Bowden is convinced that it is not so important what a person eats, the main thing is how the products are processed before cooking.

According to the researcher, there are foods that can be eaten with minimal processing. They contain such a set of useful and phytochemical substances, bioenzymes, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and healthy vegetable fats that they easily allow each person to live to 100 years.

For example, such products include berries, which contain little sugar, but a large amount of fiber. Blueberries, raspberries and strawberries can be especially useful in such a situation: they contain substances that strengthen memory and antioxidants with antitumor properties.

In addition, beans may be helpful, as they protect against colorectal cancer and diabetes, and may help control weight, as well as nuts, which reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Whole cow's milk contains a lot of linolenic acid, which protects against cancer, and including fatty fish in the menu can help manage high blood pressure, reduce the risk of brain and heart disease, and even improve mood. Lean meat, including beef, can be useful because it contains a lot of vitamin B12 and protein.

Eggs are famous for their high protein content and low calorie content. The yolk contains a large amount of choline, which nourishes the brain, and the pigment lutein, which is important for vision. Cabbage, in addition to a large number of vitamins, contains indoles, which protect against cancer. In addition to all this, cabbage contains sulforaphane, which helps remove toxins from the body.

In addition, the list of healthy foods includes apples (can be good for tooth enamel, lungs, blood glucose levels), onions and garlic (protect against cancer and heart disease), pomegranate, which contains many antioxidants, and green tea, which protects against cancer and promotes weight loss.
