Specialists made an interesting discovery that will help people with bad habits, in particular smoking. According to scientists, if a person can not for any reason give up his addiction to smoking, he can reduce the harmful effects on the body with the help of very simple and accessible to everyone and each method. Scientists have determined that such familiar drinks as tea and coffee help to improve the state of the cardiovascular system.

In Sweden, a group of specialists from the University of Carolina in a number of experiments found that tea and coffee reduce the risk of developing a heart attack that occurs as a result of stopping blood circulation. In addition, these drinks help protect the brain from the development of atherosclerosis. Scientists more relate this discovery to men - smokers. Specialists noted that such beverages have a pronounced antioxidant property and are able to prevent the negative effects provoked by smoking. Among other things, it should be noted that such results were not obtained in one day. In this area, the study was conducted for a fairly long time - specialists spent thirteen years on this work! Twenty-six thousand male smokers who were residents of Finland participated in the experiment. All men for their own reasons could not quit smoking. In the process of monitoring the health of participants in the experiment, scientists were able to establish some rather interesting details. As it turned out, if a man consumed at least eight cups of coffee a day, the risk of developing a cerebral infarction and heart disorders decreased by 23%. In case a man preferred at least two cups of strong coffee, then in this case, of course, there was a decrease in the risk of developing heart attacks, but not significantly. After the research, experts are sure that smokers should not deny themselves the pleasure of drinking a few cups of coffee, and it can be consumed in fairly large doses. The positive effect of coffee can be explained by the fact that the beverage contains a phenolic compound. This means that the beverage contains components of plant origin that affect the inflammatory processes in the body, provoked by smoking, and prevent their further development.

Smoking is one of the main causes of coronary heart disease, which, in turn, causes myocardial infarction. Smokers tend to develop atherosclerosis, when there is a blockage of arteries and other pathologies affecting the human cardiovascular system. The very fact of smoking increases the risk of coronary artery disease, and if other factors are added here, the disease gets more chances for development. Tobacco smoke contains nicotine and carbon monoxide, which reduces the ingress of oxygen into the blood and acts destructively on the heart and blood vessels. Cigarette smoke reduces the elasticity of blood vessels, leads to their damage, promotes the formation of cholesterol plaques, blood thickening. As a result, the normal blood supply to the brain or heart can stop at any time, and coffee can reduce all these negative consequences.
