In Kiev still 7 beaches are closed due to non-compliance of water quality with standards

In Kyiv, for this period, out of 11 beaches and recreation areas located on the Dnieper River, 7 beaches do not have official permission to open, but they are operating, except for "Central", "Molodezhny", "Predmestnaya Slobodka" in accordance with the decrees on the temporary ban on swimming.
Four beaches have passports: "Children's" in the Hydropark of the Dniprovsky district, "Telbin" and "Raduga" on the lakes in the Dniprovsky district, "Chortoryi" in the Druzhby Narodov Park of Culture and Leisure in the Desnyansky district.
There are 7 river beaches: "Verbnyi" on the lake in Obolonsky district, "Pusha-Voditsa" on the 5-7 line to the pond of the river Gorenka in Obolonsky district, "Raduga" on the lakes in Dniprovsky district, "Chortoryi" in the Park of Culture and Recreation of Friendship of Peoples of Desnyansky district, "Venice", "Children's", "Golden" in Dniprovsky district.
Four beaches also remained closed due to water quality not meeting standards - the beaches "Central" and "Telbin", "Molodezhny" (from 25.07.2011, No. 216), "Predmestnaya Slobodka" in the Dniprovsky district, as well as the recreation area "Troyeshchyna" in the bay of the Desenka River.
186 river water samples were examined. Deviation from the standard was detected in 1 river water sample according to the LCP index up to 24 thousand (studies of water samples from the beaches "Central" and "Telbin", "Venice" and "Molodezhny" on Dolobetsky Island, "Predmestnaya Slobodka" in the Dnieper district, recreation areas on the Desenka River are ongoing). Swimming is prohibited, they are under the supervision of the sanitary and epidemiological service.

As of July 25, 2 beaches were closed due to water quality not meeting standards - the "Central" beach (regulation on temporary ban on swimming dated June 25, 2011 No. 184) and "Telbin" (regulation on temporary ban on swimming dated June 29, 2011 No. 187) in the Dniprovsky district.
As reported earlier, the Chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration, Oleksandr Popov, commenting on the information that E. coli was found on some of the capital's beaches, noted that it would be better for people to limit their stay on these beaches, but "no one will take anyone by the hand from this territory."
