Nowadays medicine and science occupy one of the main meanings in human life. Almost every day scientists invent new ways of treating serious diseases, develop new medicines, and discover new properties of substances.
The latest discoveries of scientists were:
Nicotine addiction does not exist. Experts are sure that a strong desire to smoke a cigarette appears if a person sincerely believes in his addiction. Such conclusions were made after an experiment with two types of cigarettes - with and without nicotine. The experiment involved people who had been smoking for a long time and believed that it was difficult for them to get rid of nicotine addiction. Scientists offered them to smoke a nicotine-free cigarette, but in fact they gave the participants regular cigarettes. An interesting fact was that after smoking a cigarette, the brain did not give signals that nicotine had entered the body, despite the fact that in reality the body received a dose of nicotine. The same thing happened in the opposite experiment, when a participant was given a nicotine cigarette, but in fact people smoked a nicotine-free one. In this case, the brain of all volunteers signaled the entry of nicotine into the body, although in fact this did not happen. Based on this experiment, scientists suggested that nicotine addiction is just imagination and that if a person stops believing in it, he or she can easily give up the bad habit.
British experts have developed contraceptives for men. Contraceptives for men will appear in the near future and will be presented either in the form of tablets or in the form of a nasal spray. The drug blocks the movement of sperm, which prevents pregnancy. Scientists note that the drug should be taken a couple of hours before sexual intercourse and most likely, the effect will last about 2 days. Before contraceptives for men appear on the market, specialists will conduct a number of studies to ensure its safety; according to some reports, the new drug is planned to be released in 2021.
Obesity is another problem of modern man. A sedentary lifestyle, stress, poor nutrition - all this leads to the appearance of extra pounds, which are sometimes extremely difficult and, most often, laziness to get rid of. Many people, especially the fair sex, are waiting for scientists to invent a miracle cure that would help keep weight normal without extra effort. But all fitness instructors and nutritionists are sure that you can have an ideal figure only if you stick to a healthy diet and exercise regularly.
Scientists also conducted research in this area and stated that our body itself chooses the ideal weight - and this is the maximum weight you have ever gained, in addition, the body constantly strives to meet this "norm". In this regard, nutritionists noted that it is best to stick to one mark on the scale throughout your life, otherwise each time the kilograms will go away harder and harder.
An interesting discovery was that fats are still useful for our body and do not contribute to the development of obesity, which cannot be said about sugar, which scientists have declared the main enemy of a beautiful figure. According to some data, sugar producers in the last century bribed scientists who kept silent or downplayed the harm of sweet poison to the figure.
Margarine, which was thoroughly studied by American scientists several months ago, has also become dangerous not only for the figure but also for health. The US has already adopted a law banning products containing margarine.
