China has become a leading sports power, whose athletes claim to win almost all Olympic disciplines. But at what price did this leap?
Twenty years ago, China was not regarded as a serious contender for the first place in the Olympic race. Today, the Chinese are smashing the recognized favorites in a variety of sports. Many talk about the amazing system of training athletes, the attention paid by the ruling Chinese Communist Party to the development of sports. Recommend that the authorities of Russia adopt the experience of the Chinese.
The Daily Mail publishes colorful, colorful illustrations of this "experience." In the children's sports schools in China, prepare future Olympians. Boys and girls from five years of age and more are practically broken down, forcing to squeeze out of their tiny bodies the professional flexibility, endurance, jumping and other qualities necessary for athletes.
Pictures were taken at the Nanning sports school, a rapidly developing industrial city in the Middle Kingdom.
As British journalists write, this is one of many ruthless children, the most violent training camps, whose employees have long been accustomed to not reacting to children's tears and screams.
Toddlers bring children to children's sports schools who hope that the future champions will be molded from them. Often these are representatives of the poorest families, and the belief in the Olympic successes of the child is the belief in the possibility of leading a more worthy life from a financial point of view. Dads and moms do not think that they deprive children of their childhood, they say that they do it for the sake of the kids themselves, who then can become secured and independent without repeating the fate of their parents.
That's only champions from these little Chinese will be a unit. And the majority will have to live several nightmarish years of the happiest period of a person's life in order to learn that from the point of view of professional sports they are unpromising.
