Disturbance of metabolism is a complex disorder of metabolic processes, which over time can lead to serious consequences. Experts argue that such violations affect the work of the heart and the endocrine system, and increase the likelihood of stroke. To avoid adverse consequences, many people need to urgently change their way of life.
As scientists from the American National Heart, Lung and Circulatory Institute found out, the increased size of the abdomen with an excess of fat in the waist is a clear symptom of the disorder of metabolic processes. And this sign can be determined visually by any person.
Unsafe risk factors that are related to the metabolism of lipids in the body is an increased content of triglycerides against a background of a low amount of high-density lipoproteins in the circulatory system. Such indicators also indicate the presence of serious metabolic disorders. It should be noted that this does not take into account the so-called "good" cholesterol, which is usually ranked among a number of high-density lipoproteins - such cholesterol favorably affects the circulatory system.
Another symptom that indicates the development of serious metabolic disorders affecting the cardiovascular system is high blood pressure. If it is a violation of carbohydrate metabolism, then, first of all, an unstable level of sugar in the blood should be alerted.
As scientists say, a person develops a metabolic syndrome, when at least three of the above factors occur. If there are such violations, then the risk of coronary pathologies doubles, and the risk of developing type 2 diabetes is five times higher.
Nevertheless, experts hasten to reassure: even if the patient finds three or more signs of metabolic disorders, he can always prevent the development of complications. For this it is necessary only: to prevent weight gain, to establish a healthy diet and to lead an active lifestyle.
Experts advise to adhere to the body mass index less than 30 units, while the abdomen circumference should not exceed 80 cm in females and 94 cm in males. Only under such conditions can we talk about the possibility of preventing the development of metabolic disorders.
To prevent further aggravation of metabolic disorders, scientists are advised to gradually change the way of life: to switch to nutrition with healthy and high-quality products, to balance the intake of carbohydrates, proteins and fats in the body, and to minimize the time a person spends without movement. If the metabolic syndrome has already made itself felt - for example, blood pressure rises periodically, there is an increased level of cholesterol and sugar in the blood - then, along with lifestyle changes, it is still necessary to consult the attending physician. Perhaps it makes sense to have a short course of therapy, so that the disturbed work of the organs would soon recover.
