To date, only a lazy person has not taken care of a healthy lifestyle and, in particular, a healthy diet. Doctors advise all patients to pay attention to the diet, the lifestyle and, of course, food. Fresh fruits, vegetables and greens are those products that are the key to a healthy diet and can provide the body with the necessary vitamins and nutrients. Despite the fact that fresh herbs are considered one of the most useful products, it turned out that it is the leaves of a green salad that can be dangerous to human health. Some doctors even equate a fresh salad with fast food.

Recent studies by epidemiologists have shown that a leafy green salad that can be found all year round on the shelves of any large supermarket can be very dangerous to human health. Doctors advise to pay attention to the inscription on the package: if on a package with salad or fresh vegetables there is an inscription "ready for use", then it is worth to refrain from buying food, it can be unsafe.

Leaves of green salad contain a large number of nutrients. For example, carotenoids are useful for vision, provide healthy skin color and, according to some experts, can be considered a preventive agent of Alzheimer's disease. Green salad contains iodine, iron, potassium, as well as a large amount of vitamin C, which the body needs during the spring vitamin deficiency. Folic acid has a beneficial effect on the reproductive function of adult men and is considered necessary for the normal development of speech in young children. Useful properties of a salad are difficult to challenge, but despite this, doctors consider it a dangerous product for health.

Recent studies have shown that on the leaves of a green fresh salad, which is on the windows of modern stores, there can be a cryptosporidium bacterium capable of causing complex diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and causing cryptosporidiosis. Cryptosporidia are intracellular parasites that infect the mucous membrane of not only the digestive organs but also the respiratory tract. In people with normal immunity, the disease begins with acute diarrhea and lasts from two days to two weeks. Otherwise, patients may experience complications, and the disease is delayed for a long time. For example, in AIDS patients, the disease passes in the form of acute diarrhea, which does not stop for several months, which leads to inevitable dehydration of the body and, often, irreparable consequences.

Representatives of the British Health Protection Agency reported that cryptoscridia bacteria were found on salad leaves that were ready for consumption. The research of products from local supermarkets provoked the fact that in a short time more than 300 people with cryptosporidiosis entered the hospitals of England and Scotland.

Experts who analyzed product, believe that the reason lies in the fact that many products are brought to Europe from countries with insufficiently strict sanitary standards. Because of this, exotic and off-season products are potentially dangerous to humans. Doctors are strongly advised not to trust the inscriptions "ready for use" and be sure to heat the products thermally. In the event that heat treatment is not possible, you should thoroughly rinse fresh herbs and vegetables under running water.
