In the near future, nutritionists can significantly reduce the amount of work, because scientists are developing a special device that will be implanted under the skin and help people who are overweight and suppress the habit of overeating, leading to obesity.

A special device will monitor the fat level all the time in the blood and in the event that a person begins to eat above the norm, a hormone starts to be released into the blood, which lowers the appetite. Studies conducted on laboratory mice have been more than successful. Obese mice, under the skin of which the device was implanted, as a result of eating much less fatty foods. It is worth noting, once the rodent's weight reached a normal level, the computer chip stopped injecting the drug into the bloodstream.

Specialists from Switzerland who are authors of the research plan to conduct experiments on people in the near future and, if successful, create a special chip in 7-10 years, the size of which will be no more than a coin. Such a device scientists suppose to implant people under the skin, with the goal of normalization and weight control.

In one of the scientific journals it is reported that in the computer chip there are two genes working in pairs to reduce excessive appetite. The first gene controls the amount of fat in the blood and when it fixes an overabundance, a second gene is connected, which begins to release a hormone that eliminates the feeling of hunger.

The inventor of this device was Martin Fussenegger, who stated that it is possible to create a computer device with a different set of genes, which will effectively combat a number of diseases. In the event that this device is effective, it will be an excellent substitute for existing weight loss pills or special operations (liposuction, narrowing of the lumen of the stomach, etc.). In addition, the device developer hopes that implanting the chip under the skin will not cause serious severe reactions in humans.

Extra pounds can reduce a person's life by about 9 years, and obesity also increases the risk of developing a number of serious illnesses such as diabetes, depression, cardiovascular disease, stroke, infertility, and even some forms of cancer.

A spokesman for the research team said that all of humanity now has serious problems with excess weight and they require effective solutions. The World Health Organization found that more than half of the population in most developed world countries suffer from extra kilograms, it turns out that every third person is prone to obesity.

If this study is sufficiently funded, in a couple of years it will be possible to conduct tests on people. With the safety of a computer device proven for the health and life of a person, it is possible to introduce mass implantation of the chip in a few years, after all the tests. Despite such bright prospects, British scientists doubt that it will be possible to create such a device that will not only effectively combat obesity, but also contribute to the preservation of the result.
