Psychologists from Duke University (USA) found that women need a lot more time to recover from a productive day than men. Proceeding from this, the scientists concluded that women, in order to feel cheerful, should spend more time on a healthy and sound sleep. If a person does not get enough sleep, then the next day he will most likely feel overwhelmed, weak and unable to focus on important issues and problem solving.
And a bad state is not the worst consequence. Poor sleep can lead women to heart disease, stroke, depression and even provoke diabetes. To date, experts are trying to find out why sleep deprivation basically affects the health and vitality of only women, not men. Interesting is the fact that men are much easier to tolerate lack of sleep and this does not affect their health. Of course, the lack of sound sleep can not have a good effect on the body, but risks for the stronger sex still does not represent lack of sleep.
Some doctors explain the dependence of the female body on sound sleep by the fact that the female brain uses much more energy during the working day. Because of this, almost all women need a long and regular rest. A daily eight-hour sleep is an ideal option for every woman to come to a normal, healthy state.

A leading specialist from the British Sleep Research Center reported that women are more likely to do several things at the same time, which can cause severe fatigue at the end of the day. Men, in turn, are used to divide up things into more and less important ones and deal with them in turn. This approach is considered more prudent, because even if as a result you have less time, the body will not overwork.
In women, as a result of the multitasking of the brain, fatigue occurs much earlier, so they need more time to recover and to sleep soundly. Previously, Scandinavian researchers have found that women need almost twice as much time as men to fall asleep. Most women are prone to frequent stress, which adversely affects the quality of sleep and causes problems with falling asleep. According to statistics, every third European woman experiences difficulties with falling asleep at least once a week. Physicians believe that women react more sharply to stressful situations, which can cause sleep disturbances. Also, women are much more likely to wake up at night.
If you analyze all the statistics provided by specialists from the United States and Europe, you can see that most often women experience sleep disorders. Women are more difficult to fall asleep, they often wake up in the middle of the night and they need more time to recover. Experts advise to deal with stressful situations, avoid overwork and monitor the regime of the day. In any case, if you feel that the number of hours that you allocate to your daily sleep is not enough for you, pay attention to how you handle routine matters. Perhaps, it is necessary to reconsider the attitude to problems or to increase time for rest.
