A study was conducted at the University of Kansas, according to the results of which experts found that chicken lovers are at a higher risk of developing cancer. As scientists found out, chicken meat in large quantities is very harmful to the human body, because it can provoke some types of cancer.
The study was based on the fact that almost every American cannot resist a serving of grilled chicken or a serving of bacon. The studies provided irrefutable evidence that such food, if consumed frequently and in large quantities, will cause malignant tumors.
It has long been known that all meat products contain carcinogenic compounds to a greater or lesser extent, and it is these compounds that contribute to the development of cancer. But each product has its own concentration of carcinogens, so not all meat products are equally harmful to humans. As analyses have shown, chicken skin and pork contain the maximum amount of carcinogenic compounds harmful to human health.
In addition, heat treatment, especially open cooking, such as grilled chicken, shashlik or barbecue, significantly increases the carcinogen content of the product. As a result, the health hazard increases significantly.
Experts noted that frequent and excessive consumption of such products increases the likelihood of developing colon cancer, and in women, the risk of developing breast cancer increases. For this reason, scientists urge people to eat such products as little as possible, and to peel the skin off grilled chicken before eating. Scientists have also found that many smoked products have a similar effect on the human body, so their consumption should also be limited.
Earlier studies by American researchers showed that frequent consumption of red meat doubles the risk of developing diabetes. Singaporean experts came to such conclusions after conducting experiments, and their conclusions are quite logical, since the residents of Singapore (Filipinos, Indians, Chinese) mainly eat seafood, rice, and fish.
According to the findings of the scientists, regular consumption of red meat doubles the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The researchers also noted that if you reduce the consumption of such products, the chances of developing diabetes decrease by 15%.
In addition, scientists have come to the conclusion that eating meat with certain diseases is life-threatening. In particular, renal failure is a contraindication to eating meat, since the body is unable to release phosphorus, which comes with animal proteins, and an excess of phosphorus in the body leads to heart attacks. Nutritionists recommend first of all to refuse fried meat products, and replace pork and beef with poultry or rabbit meat.
