A microwave oven can now be seen in almost every home, it allows you to quickly warm up the products and make life much easier for housewives. The principle of the microwave oven is based on the emission of radio-wave energy, which, when penetrated into the product, causes the molecules to oscillate more strongly. Rather, radio waves cause only water molecules to fluctuate, due to which the product is heated.
With the advent of this household appliance, various rumors began to appear that were not confirmed by any studies according to which products cooked or heated in a microwave are dangerous to health, unsafe for children and pregnant women and are capable of provoking cancer tumors.
About a quarter of a century ago, biochemistry from the University of Colorado, Lita Lee, noted that each microwave oven produces electromagnetic radiation, and the food from it becomes toxic and carcinogenic. Subsequently, there were other negative reviews about microwave ovens.
However, consumers preferred convenience and on the demand of microwave ovens various warnings were not reflected.
Western experts, after a thorough study of this household equipment, noted that there was absolutely no harm from the microwave ovens and called for active use of them. First of all, experts noted the convenience - the time of cooking or heating food is significantly reduced, and as is known, the shorter the time of heat treatment of the product, the more nutrients remain in it. For example, to warm up vegetables in a microwave it will be 3-5 minutes, while frying vegetables in oil leads to the formation of carcinogenic substances in large quantities.
In addition, the microwave oven disinfects plastic dishes well. It's no secret that dangerous bacteria such as Escherichia coli or Salmonella reproduce on cutting boards. At the University of Wisconsin conducted a study that showed that in order to get rid of the bacteria on the cutting board, it is enough to place it for several minutes in a microwave oven. The same can be done with dirty sponges for washing dishes. Experts recommend, before sending a dirty sponge to a microwave oven, rinse it with lemon juice and vinegar.
In addition, a microwave oven will help to "bring to life" the crystallized honey. To do this, just send a jar of honey in the microwave oven for only 30 seconds and honey will regain its former appearance. Also in the microwave it is possible to speed up the process of raising the test. Some specialists suggest rehabilitating old cosmetics with the same microwave oven. For example, the research group Jacqueline Mariani concluded that if you place mascara in the microwave oven (previously open, without a brush for application) and a cup of water, then a few minutes later the dried mascara will become soft again and can be used for several more weeks .
