The point of a detox diet is detoxification, that is, removing toxins from the body. This diet will help you unload your liver and cleanse your body.

Detox diet proponents believe that our bodies are constantly overloaded with toxins from environmental pollution, pesticides, unhealthy diets, food additives, coffee, alcohol, cigarette smoke, etc.

These toxins accumulate in our body, health problems can start at any time: cellulite, headaches, aging skin, bloating, fatigue, decreased immunity and general malaise.

Detoxification removes toxins from the body, causing you to lose weight and feel healthier, saying goodbye to many of the problems caused by toxins.

Allowed and prohibited foods can vary greatly among different detox diets, but in general, fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts, seeds, herbal teas, and plenty of water are definitely allowed.

Removing toxins from the body

Most of the foods many of us love are off limits: wheat, dairy, meat, fish, eggs, caffeine, alcohol, salt, sugar, and processed foods.

By cutting out high-calorie sources like dairy, meat, and wheat-based products, you'll get the least amount of calories from fruits and vegetables, and thus lose weight.

Weight loss will depend on the severity of your dietary restrictions - the fewer prohibited foods you eat, the more weight you will lose.

Remember, the two main rules of any detox diet are to start the day with a glass of warm water with lemon. Before noon, eat fiber - cereals, apples. Don't forget to drink up to 2.5 liters of water per day.
