Tiny bloodsucking bed insects can perfectly exist in the cracks and crevices of the bed. Fighting them is very difficult and tedious, odako American scientists claim that they invented a unique remedy capable of resisting pests. In particular, we are talking about bed bugs.

According to experts from the University of Penn State, the entomopathogenic fungus can quickly deal with the bugs that have settled in the house. The funds created on its basis and containing its disputes will be able to destroy all insects in a short time and clean the house.

Bed bugs are a common and very unpleasant phenomenon, these bloodsuckers painfully bite and hide in hard-to-reach places. Another problem with combating them is their resistance to insecticides.

To effectively deal with bed bugs, crocs suggest using Beauveria bassiana - a fungus, which is the causative agent of white muscardine, insect disease.

To see what its properties are in action, the experts planted on a white sheet and sheets of cotton paper bugs, pretreated with a solution made on the basis of mushroom spores.

As it turned out, all the experimental bugs that roamed the poisoned surface for at least an hour died within five days, becoming infected with mycosis.

The solution of Beauveria bassiana acted destructively on bed bugs, regardless of their physiological state and age.

"In addition to the effect produced on bugs, caught on the treated surface, other relatives also became infected. Bedbugs have transferred spores of fungi to their shelters, where the infection occurred 100%, - said the lead author of the study, Nina Jenkins. "This is very important, because bugs live in hard-to-reach places and they are difficult to withdraw."

Also, the researchers note that the Beauveria bassiana fungus compares favorably with the insecticides used, which act on the insects themselves.

According to scientists, the funds created on the basis of the controversy of this fungus will be especially useful for those rooms where strong chemicals can not be used. And Beauveria spores are safe for humans and easy to store.
