Californian experts have stated that it is much more effective to eat water than to drink it, since in this case the body's hydration is twice as effective. Scientists note that it is quite simple to eat water - you need to eat more vegetables and fruits, since they also contain liquid.
According to experts, 1/4 of all liquid drunk per day enters the body with food. The human body, as is known, consists of 80% water, the reserves of which must be constantly replenished. A person needs to drink from 1.5 to 3 liters of water per day. But scientists warn that ordinary water can wash out a huge amount of vitamins and minerals from the body, but fruits and vegetables, according to experts, saturate the body with moisture better, since in this case the liquid is absorbed slowly, which is much healthier.
Experts also noted that the water in food is different from regular pure water – the liquid in fruits and vegetables is surrounded by other molecules that help water penetrate into cells and help retain it there.
Studies have shown that water-rich vegetables and fruits help saturate the body with liquid twice as well as a glass of pure water. But in addition to water, these products contain sugar, proteins, vitamins, mineral salts, which are also necessary for the normal functioning of the body. Experts recommend regularly eating fruits and vegetables to prevent the development of various diseases, such as obesity, cancer, heart disease, blood vessels, depressive disorders.
Vegetables and fruits that contain a lot of water are usually low in calories, and, according to nutritionists, if there is a need to replace calories and fat in your diet, then watery vegetables and fruits are the best choice for this. Also, water-rich foods are more filling and a person does not feel hungry for a longer time. It is better to eat vegetables and fruits, especially those rich in water, raw or subjected to minimal heat treatment.
Water is extremely important for the human body. Research conducted several months ago showed that regular clean water helps refresh the brain and improve its performance. English scientists have proven that water has a positive effect on human mental abilities and increases brain activity by 14%.
The expert group made its conclusions after several experiments, during which a group of volunteers were tested. All participants had to undergo special tests twice - the first time after eating a whole grain nutritious breakfast, and the second time, after breakfast, all participants received a bottle of drinking purified water.
As a result, it turned out that the second time all the volunteers did a better job with their tasks.
Experts have suggested that the increase in brain performance is caused by a decrease in the load on the centers that signal the need to replenish the body's water balance. It is worth recalling that a lack of fluid in the body is not always expressed by thirst; scientists note that you need to drink even if you do not feel very thirsty.
