Irish scientists have stated that a love of sweets kills potency in men. "To please a lady, they need to give up glucose at least 2 hours before sexual intercourse," the experts are sure.
Researchers have found a direct connection between the level of sugar and testosterone in the blood of the stronger sex. The men participating in the scientists' experiment first took tests for testosterone, and then drank a glass of water containing 75 grams of glucose. After that, the volunteers' levels of the male hormone were measured again. After drinking the sweet liquid, its concentration decreased by 25% in absolutely all participants in the experiment. Two hours later, the scientists took a control measurement. The negative effect of glucose persisted in 99% of cases.
For reference:
Testosterone is a male sex hormone, "responsible" for erection and libido. It also controls the processes of ejaculation and orgasm. Leading British expert on sexopathology Jeffrey Hackett is sure that erectile dysfunction in every fifth case is caused by low levels of testosterone in the blood. "This disease is not treated with Viagra and similar drugs. Hormonal replacement therapy is needed here," the specialist believes.
IMPORTANT!
- Testosterone is a key factor in male health. Experts from the University of California have found that low levels of this hormone in men over 50 increase the risk of their premature death by 33%.
- Overall, scientists estimate that up to 10% of the male population suffers from low testosterone levels. Most of them have no idea about it and don’t even know that testosterone levels are so important.
- Low testosterone occurs when the testicles that produce the hormone stop functioning normally, or when the overall hormone levels in the body are disrupted. After age 30, testosterone levels in men begin to decline at a rate of 1% per year. And its decline in middle age is sometimes called "male menopause."
- Treatment should be started only after establishing the exact reasons for the drop in the level of this hormone. Most often, gels and injections are used. The effect of one testosterone injection can last up to three months. Alas, few men know that testosterone replacement therapy can literally change their lives.
