The decision to accept a child without a certain set of vaccinations into an educational institution is made in each individual case by the head of the educational institution.

"Parents are warned that in the event of an increased epidemic situation, a child without certain vaccinations becomes a threat both to themselves and to other children, and therefore they are advised to take such a child out of the educational institution during the period of increased epidemic situation," the department's press service noted.

According to Article 15 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Protection of the Population from Infectious Diseases", admission of children to educational, health, and other children's institutions is carried out upon the availability of a corresponding certificate from the health care institution in which the child is under supervision. The certificate is issued on the basis of the child's medical examination data, if there are no medical contraindications for his/her stay in contact with patients with infectious diseases or carriers of bacteria.

"Children who have not received preventive vaccinations according to the vaccination schedule are not allowed to visit children's institutions. If preventive vaccinations are given to children outside the established timeframes due to medical contraindications, in a favorable epidemiological situation, by decision of a council of relevant doctors, they can be admitted to the relevant children's institution and visit it," the Ministry of Health notes.

In the absence of such a medical certificate for children who have not received preventive vaccinations according to age (we are talking about children under 3 years of age who must enter kindergartens), an immunological vaccination committee must be created in the healthcare institution where the child is observed, which determines the schedule of vaccinations that are missing for each specific child. Parents are offered to still carry out preventive vaccinations within a certain time, but in violation of the vaccination calendar according to age, but to exercise the child's right to be healthy.
