European researchers are exploring new ways to integrate the Internet space, social networks and television.

The goal of web integration is to combine heterogeneous web applications, social networks and television with a single technology to provide maximum convenience for users of all types of media and devices.

Scientists have already begun to implement the project. It got the name NoTube.

According to statistics, for a day a person simultaneously watches TV and uses a personal computer for about 3.5 hours.

At the international consortium of digital and television and radio broadcasting companies, the question was raised about creating a single platform that would unite television and the Internet.

Experts believe that now is the right time to merge these two formats. For example, a user watches TV, but can use a web application and monitor the corresponding processes.

The principle of NoTube is built on "related data". User information - for example, his contacts in social networks, favorite shows and programs - are stored in an information cloud. The user has access to one or more databases used by the remote application.

"The future behind the technology of wireless information transmission. This will help broadcast broadcasters create programs based on consumer interest analysis. This approach will allow us to find out what the viewer wants most of all, "said Dan Brickley, a researcher at VU University Amsterdam, the Netherlands, one of the lead authors of the project.

During the creation of a single platform, the capabilities of TV companies were also taken into account.

"In order to understand the instructions and recommendations of the engineers involved in the process, the system engineers of TV companies do not need to be geniuses," Barkley added.

"As the number of TV channels increases, it is not easy for a person to filter out programs that he really would like to see. We have developed an engine that solves this problem, it can be deployed on any media platform. "

Birkley emphasizes that all personal data must be protected from importunate relays.

"We want the user to be at the helm," says Brickley. "NoTube will help people decide what to watch, and record their preferences."

"Most of our research products and documents with the positions set forth in them are in the hands of a fairly small group of people who have weight in the television industry," explains the researcher. "But the broad masses were also interested in our project."
