The president of the Australian Society of Cosmetic Physicians, Dr Gabrielle Caswell, has issued an official warning: self-administered substances sold on the Internet that promise to make you look younger are dangerous to your health and lead to dire consequences, The Herald Sun reports.

"We know of cases where people have injected themselves with substances purchased online. At the same time, these solutions may not be sterile. You will never know what is in them. As a result, the money saved on a visit to a cosmetologist, you will still spend on treating unwanted side effects from the introduction of a substance. For example, the introduction of an untested filler can lead to severe swelling of the face," Caswell summarizes.

According to reliable information from the Community, over the past year people have started to spend 15% more on relatively non-invasive procedures. The palm of primacy is still held by products that increase the size or relax the facial muscles, such as Botox and Dysport.

In addition, as experts tell us, visitors to beauty salons have become significantly younger in recent years. Moreover, most of the guests are absolutely healthy people, notes the president of the Australian Medical Association, Steve Hambleton. However, such "treatment" threatens to result in myocardial infarction, allergic reactions and even death.
