In Western countries, the fashion for coffee with butter is now becoming popular. It is believed that such coffee increases energy, gets rid of fat deposits, improves concentration. In large coffee shops in Britain and the USA, butter coffee is already beginning to appear on the menu, under the name of fat black or paleolithic
This unusual coffee recipe was shared by a healthy lifestyle advocate Dave Asprey, who was amazed by the taste and health benefits of tea with yak butter during his trip to Tibet. As Dave himself assures, thanks to this drink, the body is charged with energy, which will last for about six hours, and the burning of calories will occur throughout the day, in addition, butter coffee improves a person's cognitive abilities (thinking function).
To prepare such a healthy drink, you will need refined coconut oil, butter (melted, unsalted). A few drops of coconut oil and 2 tablespoons of butter are whipped into foam and added to freshly brewed coffee. Coffee prepared in this way acquires an unusual fat content and a rather specific taste. Some believe that such coffee not only will not help normalize weight, but will also lead to obesity, increased cholesterol levels, and this in turn is dangerous for the development of heart and vascular diseases.
In another study, experts discovered unusual properties of coffee. As studies have shown, coffee helps reduce cocaine addiction, especially in women.
It has been proven that cocaine use provokes changes in a woman’s menstrual cycle and hormonal levels (in particular, the hormone estrogen).
Earlier studies have found that high estrogen levels contribute to drug addiction, particularly cocaine. Women generally respond more strongly to even smaller doses of cocaine than men.
Caffeine is able to block the changes in the brain that occur when cocaine is used, in addition, caffeine relieves severe symptoms of drug addiction and restores the menstrual cycle.
The experts came to these conclusions after a series of studies on laboratory rodents. The head of the new research project was Professor Patricia Broderick, who noted that during the experiment, various changes in the cycle were observed in rats after cocaine. At the same time, the changes typical for cocaine use did not occur if the animals received caffeine half an hour after the drug or simultaneously with it.
When a person uses cocaine, they experience an intense release of dopamine (the pleasure hormone) in the brain. This is what leads to a euphoric state and ultimately leads to drug addiction.
Caffeine affects the anti-stress system (adenosine), which protects against fatigue and is involved in the sleep-wake cycle. The nucleoside adenosine, which plays an important role in biochemical processes, normalizes the level of dopamine, which helps reduce the symptoms of drug addiction.
