Mathematical models of climatologists show that in the next ten years global warming will slow down and the temperature will stabilize. Such a climate behavior scientists attribute to the presence of the absorptive capacity of the ocean.

Gerald Meel (National University of the Center for Atmospheric Research from the USA) and his staff have developed five options for the future of our planet based on a computer model that takes into account the interaction between the atmosphere, the ocean and land.

The results of the research showed that by the end of the century the air temperature will rise by several degrees, but not gradually, but with interruptions. These interruptions of the absence of temperature increase are associated with the absorption of additional heat by the ocean.

Researchers have shown that during periods of breaks, huge layers of ocean water at a depth of 300 meters and below will heat up 20% more than usual. In this case, smaller ponds and upper layers will warm up more weakly.

During these periods, the temperature of the surface water layer will decrease in the tropical part of the Pacific Ocean and rise in the more northern latitudes, which strongly resembles El Niño.
