A lack of vitamin D in the body can cause serious problems, in particular, it can lead to the development of osteoporosis. During pregnancy, a deficiency of vitamin D increases the risk of preeclampsia (high blood pressure, severe swelling, rapid weight gain due to fluid retention).

In addition, in their latest work, the experts were able to determine that vitamin D deficiency can lead to chronic pain, which is usually associated with rheumatism or neurological disorders. As the research group notes, chronic pain is a common problem in modern society (1 in 5 people suffer from this type of pain).

Vitamin D is present in some foods of natural origin (liver fat from fish, fatty fish, egg yolks, mushrooms). In addition, many manufacturers artificially add vitamins to their products, for example, to milk. But the best way to get vitamin D is considered to be sunbathing. Under the influence of ultraviolet radiation, the body begins to produce vitamin D, which is converted into 25-hydroxyvitamin. Vitamin D not only helps strengthen bone tissue, but also increases muscle strength and protects against the development of cancer tumors and type 2 diabetes.

In Manchester, a group of researchers studied the health of more than two thousand European men. The study found that men who had a vitamin D deficiency suffered from general chronic pain twice as much as those whose vitamin D was within the normal range. Continuing the study, the experts found that one in fifteen men who had previously had no signs of the disease began to suffer from pain. In most cases, these men were overweight, had depressive disorders, were physically inactive, etc.

At this stage, scientists can say that vitamin D deficiency can lead to musculoskeletal pain as the bones become softer.

The research team also notes that a number of factors can influence the occurrence of muscle pain, including lifestyle and external factors. This study is quite important from a medical point of view, as it can help in developing effective treatments for muscle pain. Scientists have now determined that there is some connection between vitamin deficiency and muscle pain, but more research is needed to determine whether muscle pain can be eliminated with small doses of vitamin D.

Recently, scientists have been paying much attention to research on biologically active additives. In particular, a study was conducted on biologically active additives with added vitamin D, which are considered not only beneficial for our health, but also safe. Now in the pharmacy you can find a wide variety of biologically active additives, which many people use to maintain health and prevent vitamin deficiency. However, as a result of recent studies, no data was obtained on the benefits of biologically active additives for our health.
