Breasts are one of the most vulnerable parts of the female body. It is susceptible to various diseases and tumors, including malignant ones. Every twentieth woman in the world suffers from breast cancer. However, according to researchers, over the past twenty years, science has advanced significantly, and physicians have made some progress in the early diagnosis of a dangerous disease, as well as the effectiveness of its treatment.
Nanoparticles in oncology
Nanoparticles are introduced into the milk ducts that extend into the nipple. Thus, it is possible to control their movement in the ducts by means of a magnetic field. Some of these nanoparticles bind to cancer cells, and the remainder is excreted by means of a magnetic field. This method of diagnosing malignant tumors makes it possible to detect the disease at an early stage.
Homophobia
Self-examination of the breast can diagnose cancer at an earlier stage of development. This method should become an obligatory procedure for every woman. Inspection is best done on the 7th day after the onset of menstruation. It is necessary to pay attention to the symmetry of the mammary glands, which should be preserved with both hands raised and with the hands lowered. Redness, swelling, the presence of bulges and cavities, discharge from the nipples, as well as eruptions indicate a danger. After a visual inspection, go to palpation - feeling, which occurs in the direction from the nipple to the periphery of the breast. Pay attention to changes in the shape of the nipple and the presence of secretions, as well as various types of seals and their location.
Tamoxifen
This is one of the most famous and widely used drugs for the treatment of breast cancer. Getting to the surface of tumor cells, it blocks receptors and prevents cells from cancer from multiplying.
Radiotherapy
An effective method of treating breast cancer, which, however, increases the risk of developing heart and lung diseases. However, researchers from New York University, led by Sylvia Formenti, argue that they have found a way to reduce this risk. According to the data received by them, the majority of patients under the procedure of radiotherapy are more comfortable on the stomach.
Scientists have concluded that in the abdominal position in all patients, the lungs and the heart are exposed to less exposure to radiation.
Experts note that for more than 90% of all clinical trials, number one problem is the lack of volunteers and therefore there is a significant delay in studying and developing new methods of treatment.
