Balkan nutritionists have proposed a difficult but highly effective green diet.

July and August are the perfect time to try a completely new diet concept based on eating a lot of spicy greens. The diet is based on light protein products (chicken, turkey, fish, shrimp), 5% fat cottage cheese, oatmeal, natural black coffee and, most importantly, herbs: dill, fennel, spinach, lettuce, basil, arugula, cilantro, green onions and some other types of greens. Any bread is completely prohibited, in addition, you will have to sharply limit the amount of salt, and the total amount of oil (vegetable and butter) should not exceed 1 tablespoon per day.

The green diet is designed for 3 weeks, the number of meals is 6 times a day. The average calorie content does not matter, it is important to follow three principles:

  1. The first and last meals must include a protein product.
  2. A must-have dish for lunch is oatmeal porridge with water.
  3. Every dish is served with a generous green garnish.

Now, about greens. The daily norm is up to 1 kilogram of herbs and spicy roots. Greens in large quantities should be added to cottage cheese, you can cook soup with them (for example, on chicken fillet broth), and, of course, prepare salads. Important: wherever possible, leave the stems and eat them, chewing them thoroughly. According to nutritionists, it is the coarse parts of green crops that help to truly cleanse all parts of the intestines and normalize fat and carbohydrate metabolism.

Of course, like many diets, this green diet has its contraindications. These are pregnancy, lactation, insulin-dependent diabetes, chronic gastritis and peptic ulcer, pancreatitis and cholecystitis. It should also be used with caution by people suffering from irritable bowel syndrome.
