As a rule, in hot weather people eat less and try to move more. However, it is from June to August that it is very easy to gain weight. At this time, most people lose control of themselves. They naively believe that they burn more calories than they gain. However, this is not true.

One of the most popular summer desserts is ice cream. However, few people remember that 100 g of plain ice cream contains 227 kcal. Add to this chocolate glaze and caramel filling... It turns out that 200 g of your favorite treat contains about 1000 kcal, and according to nutritionists, a person should consume no more than 1300 kcal per day.

Quenching your thirst with sweet drinks is useless. They make you want to drink more and more. Therefore, tasty cool soda should be replaced with plain or mineral water. Otherwise, you can gain a lot of weight in the hot months.

For comparison: Lemonade - 26 kcal, Sprite - 29 kcal, tonic - 34, Fanta - 52

Sometimes thirst can be confused with hunger. In summer, the body's need for liquid increases, but instead of water we eat fatty soups, porridges, etc.

During the daytime, the body experiences stress, and there is no particular desire to eat. However, with the onset of evening, a soothing coolness comes, and hands reach for the refrigerator. The body requires replenishment of the energy spent during the day, and we eat almost a day's worth of food in one sitting, after which, as a rule, we go to bed.

For most people, summer is a time of long-awaited rest. For almost a whole year, many of them tried to get in shape for the beach season. However, after the first hot day, they immediately forget about the gym and diets. The time for relaxation comes, during which the gained calories are almost not spent, and from September, the "athletes" have to start all over again.
