In Boston, an interesting study was conducted, which, above all, refers to women who dream of having a baby. As it turned out during the experiment, regular exercise, as well as visiting the pool, contribute to the reproductive function of women.
The study was held in Denmark, where more than three thousand women were gathered - volunteers dreaming of becoming mothers, but they had difficulty with conception. To make the study more objective, experts selected women of reproductive age from 18 to 40 years. The duration of the experiment was one year, during which approximately 70% of the women participating in the study managed to become pregnant.
Throughout the experiment, scientists analyzed the health status of women, as well as their physical activity. The scientists made the following conclusions: it was possible to get pregnant with those women who did not have strong but prolonged physical activities (cycling, walking, etc.). At the same time, scientists noted that overweight did not affect the probability of conception.
After the experts made the final analysis, they noted that such physical exertion about five hours a week, increase the chances of a woman getting pregnant by 18%. All comparisons were carried out by specialists with a control group of women, where physical activity was less than one hour per week.
However, the opinion that the higher the physical load, the more likely a woman to become pregnant, is mistaken. In this case, you can not overdo it, because you can get the opposite effect. For example, intense running or aerobic exercise for more than five hours a week, as much as 32%, reduces a woman's chances of becoming a happy mother. Therefore, scientists recommend that women who plan to become pregnant, give up excessive physical exertion and give preference to easier sports.
Active lifestyle helps not only to become pregnant, but also helps to transfer such a difficult period as the bearing of a child. Women who during pregnancy are engaged in special exercises, walk a lot in the open air, the risk of having a caesarean section is significantly reduced. Studies have shown that women who did gymnastics three times a week (no more than an hour a day) did various strength exercises and stretched much less children with heavier weight (more than 4 kg), in addition, the probability of cesarean section decreased in them 34%.
Women who are engaged in special exercises during pregnancy, suffer less from manifestations of toxicosis, especially in the second and third trimester. Late toxicosis is dangerous not only for the health of the future mother, but also for the development of the baby. A rather dangerous condition is gestational diabetes, which affects pregnant women due to a violation of carbohydrate metabolism. After birth, the hormonal background of the woman is normalized and diabetes goes away without any special treatment.
All this once again indicates that moderate physical activity is necessary for women's health.
