The city, especially large, with a large population, increases the likelihood of developing an allergy in a child, such conclusions have recently come from a group of researchers from the Johns Hopkins University. In megacities children suffer from allergies to peanuts and shellfish twice as often as children living outside the city or in small towns. Experts suggest that the main problem of cities is the regular use of cleaning and disinfectants, because of which children develop poorly the immune system, especially to widespread microorganisms. Also, scientists believe that taking antibiotics and giving birth by Caesarean section may not have a better effect on the formation of immunity in a child.
Experts estimated that every tenth city child suffers from food allergy, but in reality, children prone to allergies can be much more.
In the course of their research, specialists conducted long-term follow-up for more than 500 children who were born and lived in New York, Baltimore, St. Louis, and Boston.
Scientists followed the development of children during the first five years of life, taking into account the children's diet, general health.
More than 50% of the participants in the experiment had increased susceptibility to milk, eggs, peanuts, 10% - suffered from a full allergy.
In addition, in the course of their work, a group of researchers noted the fact that with a high concentration of endotoxin in the body, which produce some types of bacteria, the state of the child has improved significantly.
From an allergy recently more people suffer, in particular, many are prone to seasonal allergies. The modern pharmaceutical market offers a huge number of tools to help get rid of the symptoms of allergies. Recently, another antihistamine has become available, which contains anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory components.
The new drug is produced in the form of a mixture of fruit juices (lemon, pineapple, apple) and ginger. The medicinal cocktail contains a large amount of vitamin C, which helps reduce the symptoms of allergy and immune response of the body to the stimulus. Experts recommend to use the drug every morning during periods of aggravation of the allergic reaction (from March to September, during the flowering of herbs and plants of allergens). In severe conditions, the mixture can be drunk throughout the day, in some cases it is recommended to start taking before the flowering season of allergen plants begins.
Vitamin C refers to strong antioxidants, which helps to normalize the functioning of the immune system. As a result, a vitamin-like mixture helps the body not only to remove the allergy symptoms, but also to overcome it.
Such a mixture can be prepared independently, as all the components of the drug cocktail can be purchased at the store (it is advisable to use freshly squeezed fruit juices).
In alternative medicine, there are many ways that help cope with ailments during seasonal allergies. The most common recipes are honey (in the morning on an empty stomach), tea with chamomile and lemon oil, a decoction of grapefruit with lemon juice. To remove stuffy nose helps mint tea. However, often with seasonal allergies, food allergy is observed, so self-treatment can only worsen the condition.
