Employees of one of the universities in New Orleans conducted an unusual study in which they decided to test how Botox injections affect the male body. As it turned out botox can affect the duration of sexual intercourse. The studies were performed on rats injected with Botox. The duration of sexual intercourse in animals was measured before and after the injection, and it turned out that after the therapy the rats lasted much longer.
Experts plan to begin research with the participation of volunteers. In the experiment will be attended by 60 men between the ages of 18 to 50 years, each of which is a long-term monogamous relationship. Botox injections are supposed to be administered to men in the muscle tissue near the genitals, while the control group will receive a placebo. Such injections can be made by specialists who already dealt with botox (a new injection is made after the effect of the previous one disappears).
Every fourth man suffers from premature ejaculation. This sexual problem is common among young men. It is generally believed that the problem of premature ejaculation exists if a man cums in the first minute.
A survey of men in different countries showed that the average duration of sexual intercourse is slightly more than five minutes. Problems with premature ejaculation may appear due to problems in the relationship, a strong emotional shock, an increased sense of anxiety, depression, unsuccessful sexual experience in the past, etc.
In some cases, the problem is solved with the help of psychotherapeutic treatment, antidepressants (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors).
The basis of botox is botulinum, a toxin that can lead to paralysis. Botox has become popular in recent years, a cosmetic means to get rid of wrinkles on the face. Usually injections of Botox are made to women, so that the face is smoothed out and acquired a more youthful appearance.
In 2012, botox was suggested to be used for the treatment of chronic migraine.
However, botulinum is a toxic toxin, which can even lead to death, so the introduction of Botox should be carried out under the supervision of a specialist. Botox is also used to treat asthma. Scientists from Australia introduced botox to patients in vocal cords. All volunteers suffered from shortness of breath, spasms of the vocal muscles. As a result of the introduction of the drug, muscle paralysis occurred, which allowed the muscles to relax and made breathing easier for patients. The effect lasted several months. More than half of the participants in the experiment showed a significant improvement in the condition, missing shortness of breath, some patients after Botox injections absolutely did not need additional treatment. However, the treatment also had side effects, for example, many participants changed their voice (became softer). Problems with swallowing after botox therapy were not detected in any person.
