Specialists from the Wolfson Medical Center, along with colleagues from the University of Tel Aviv, conducted a series of experiments and proved that breakfast plays an important role for women's health, especially those that are prone to polycystic ovaries and, therefore, can not become pregnant.
Women who have problems with conception on the background of polycystic ovaries should have a full breakfast, this will have a positive effect on the general condition of a woman, but lunch and dinner play not such a significant role. According to Dr. D. Vainshtein, the calorie content of the daily diet is important, but the hours of food intake are much more important. In recent years, nutritionists have proven that the weight of a body is significantly affected by the time in which high-calorie foods were eaten. Scientists also managed to prove that a nutritious breakfast is extremely useful for women who have a menstrual cycle.
Polycystic ovary develops in 10% of women of childbearing age. This disease prevents conception, disrupting reproductive function. With polycystic ovaries, the woman's content of the male hormone androgen increases, which causes a violation of the menstrual cycle, acne, hair loss, immunity to insulin, and as a result, the development of diabetes mellitus.
In a scientific study, 60 women took part, at the age of 25 to 39 years, the experiment lasted three months. All women did not have excess weight and suffered from polycystic ovaries. During the experiment, the participants were divided into 2 experimental groups, for each group the daily calorie content of the food was set at 1800 kcal. The difference in nutrition was only in the time of eating. In the first group of women, the main meal was in the morning hours, and in the second group - at dinner time. Specialists in the first place were interested in whether the time of food intake will help to influence the synthesis of androgen hormones in a woman's body. In the course of research, each woman recorded what foods were eaten.
After the end of the study, the scientists came to the conclusion that a full and dense breakfast is very useful for the health of the female body. In women from the first group (who had a breakfast), scientists noted a decrease in the level of glucose, as well as immunity to insulin by about 8%. The content of the male hormone in the first group of subjects dropped by half. In the second group, which paid more attention to dinner, everything remained at the same level, there was no positive or negative dynamics. Also, many women from the morning group began the period of ovulation, which says the restoration of reproductive function.
As a result of the conducted studies, experts recommend that women who have polycystic ovaries, problems with conception, hormonal disorders in the body pay special attention to breakfast, which should be full and nutritious. In addition, the use of high-calorie foods for breakfast will not adversely affect the female figure.
