Specialists from Scotland have proven that the daily use of a small amount of red wine positively affects the human body. The results of studies conducted to study the characteristics of the female body during the menopause showed that alcohol positively affects the general condition, the work of the nervous system and the work of the musculoskeletal system.
Scientists say that a moderate amount of alcohol (for example, red dry wine) can have a beneficial effect on the condition of bone tissue and prevent the occurrence of osteoporosis. During the menopause in the female body, some hormonal changes occur that can adversely affect the condition of bone tissue and, accordingly, cause dangerous bone diseases associated with changes in the composition of the tissue.
Osteoporosis is most often a chronic, dangerous disease of the skeleton, which is associated with a change in bone density and an increase in its fragility. The disease is associated with changes in metabolism in bone tissue and a violation of its original composition. Osteoporosis is considered as a metabolic and metabolic disease and refers to the disease of the musculoskeletal system. For a long time a person can not guess about the disease: the first fractures that can occur as a result of the disease, patients are often considered an accident, and the pain that lasts several weeks - a regularity associated with age or fatigue.
Doctors distinguish two types of disease: primary - associated with natural processes in the human body and secondary - acquired due to other diseases. A recent study proved that daily consumption of just one glass of dry red wine can protect a female body from osteoporosis. A small amount of natural alcoholic beverage positively influences the metabolism in the bone tissue and ensures its proper density.
During the study, Scottish specialists examined more than 900 women who are at the age of menopause. For seven years, doctors monitored the overall health of women, focusing on musculoskeletal and bone diseases in particular.
The head of the study noted that women, whose diet included a moderate amount of alcohol, as well as food rich in calcium, phosphorus, vitamin D (dairy products, fresh fish, vegetables and fiber), suffered much less from age-related musculoskeletal disorders. A properly balanced diet could protect women from accidental fractures and chronic skeletal diseases.
If the influence of calcium on the state of bone tissue is clear to everyone, then on the account of the influence of alcohol, scientists have several theories. According to one of them, alcoholic beverages have the property of increasing the level of the hormone estrogen in the body. During the menopause, the level of estragon in the female body drops significantly, so this fact can cause a positive effect of wine on metabolism.
