Recent medical studies have proven that cosmetic products, in which green tea is present, have a preventive effect on cancer, and in particular on skin cancer.

Experts believe that this action of green tea and its constituents is associated with sunscreen effect, which medicine has known for a long time. Of course, green tea does not have properties that can protect the body from ultraviolet rays, but with the action of elements that damage the skin cells and cause the occurrence of sunburn, green tea can fight.

Some experts say that green tea can be used as a prophylaxis of senile wrinkles and other age-related skin lesions. The truth is in this, green tea contains a large number of antioxidants and polyphenols, which contribute to the preservation of skin elasticity. Cosmetologists are sure that the regular use of creams containing the extract of green tea will help keep the skin fresh and supple for a long time. On the other hand, do not blindly rely on the effect of tea: the aging process of the skin really slow down, but it is impossible to stop. Quality care will ensure the decay of skin aging, but will not prevent the onset of old age and all the attendant signs.

As for cosmetics based on green tea, the first thing to pay attention to is that creams and lotions are fresh. In no event can you use cosmetics, the expiration date of which came out. Polyphenols, which are contained in the extract of green tea, will be able to have a proper effect only when fresh. Polyphenols-antioxidants on contact with oxygen can break down and lose the ability to restore skin cells. Because of this feature, many cosmeticians doubt the effectiveness of creams with green tea.

Given the protective properties of green tea, experts advise the use of cosmetics with its content in the summer, in combination with any sunscreen. Polyphenols contained in green tea and sunscreen cosmetics can protect the skin from ultraviolet rays and prevent the premature appearance of wrinkles. It is worth paying attention to products that contain zinc oxides: this substance can not negatively affect the composition of the polyphenol anion oxidants, which will ensure the proper effect of the extract of green tea. Lovers of natural cosmetics can independently prepare a cleansing and tonic for the skin from freshly brewed green tea in the form of ice cubes.

Studies conducted in the US have proved the fact that green tea can reduce the likelihood of cancer disease. Statistics show that those people who regularly use cosmetics based on green tea, are much less likely to be at risk of skin cancer patients.

It is noteworthy that in Japan, where green tea is considered one of the most popular beverages, the number of cancer patients is much less than in the US, where green tea is not popular.
