Australian scientists have reported that daily consumption of oatmeal can cause dangerous diseases. Oatmeal is considered one of the most useful cereals, but in spite of this, nutritionists are advised to limit its use. For several months gastroenterologists from Australia studied the properties of oatmeal and at the moment most of them hold the opinion that people who are accustomed to breakfast only with porridge, should diversify the morning ration.
The main useful property of oatmeal is that the product "envelops" the mucous membrane of the stomach, which normalizes acidity and stabilizes its work. Adherents of healthy eating consider oatmeal a better breakfast, and people who are trying to get rid of excess weight, also necessarily include oatmeal in the diet. Many nutritionists recommend using oatmeal for several weeks in order to stabilize the weight and bring the body into a tone after the illness. Especially useful oatmeal is for the digestive system: oatmeal stabilizes the work of the stomach and intestines, eliminates the possibility of viral diseases, strengthens the body and increases resistance to infections, helps to reduce weight and can even prevent the occurrence of malignant cancerous tumors.
Recent studies by Australian scientists have shown that daily consumption of oatmeal can be dangerous because of the high content of phytic acid. Phytic or, as it is also called, myo-inositol hexafosphoric acid is a chemical compound that can influence the bioavailability (the ability to digest) of such beneficial substances as phosphorus, calcium, zinc and other minerals. It can be said that the high content of this acid interferes with the beneficial substances necessary for the health of the human body, is normally absorbed and absorbed. Moreover, some scientists believe that oatmeal can contribute to the "washing away" of vitamins needed by man.
Phytic acid is found not only in oatmeal, but also in other cereals, cereals, legumes. Nutritionists emphasize oatmeal due to the fact that recently its use has increased significantly. The substance contributes to the deterioration of the bioavailability of calcium and magnesium, which adversely affects the health of bone tissue. Moreover, too many products that contain phytic acid help wash out calcium from bone tissue and destroy it.
