Fighting excess weight is not an easy task, especially if a person is constantly overcome by laziness and all the training and playing sports he spends only in the mind. But a slim figure still want to have, and fantasy draws a built-up waist, a clear line of hips and, of course, a beautiful dress that fits all this beauty.

However, returning to reality, we must admit that dreams will remain dreams, if not to apply to the construction of their own new relief and lean body at least a minimum of effort. Here for those lazy people who want to, but are lazy, there is a wonderful way that will help burn calories and provide an excellent training of endurance and strength. Especially lucky for those who live in high-rise buildings and who have a broken elevator, because there is nowhere to go, you have to stomp on the stairs.

This is exactly what scientists from the University of Roehampton recommend to do - go up the stairs more and use the elevator less. However, their recommendations do not end there. Experts say that simply lifting is not enough - so that such loads have the effect, it is important to climb the stairs correctly.

Experts note that the main thing is not to jump over steps and not to overcome stair flights to jumps and jumps. The fact is that if you do not skip the stairs, more calories burned.

Although more energy is expended to overcome two steps at a time, rather than one, but as a result, more energy will pass through the entire length of the path, if one does not miss the steps.

Scientists from the University of Roehampton found that if you go through five flights of stairs (total distance is fifteen meters) five times a week, on average, a person can burn 302 calories if he steps on every step.

If you step over two steps at once, only 260 calories are burned.

"We were really surprised to find that it is much more efficient and more profitable to climb stairs more slowly and not to miss any of them than step over two at once or move at a fast pace," says Lewis Halsey, a senior lecturer at the Department of Comparative and Environmental Physiology.

Experts say that regular climbing the stairs is a great way to combat excess weight. The greater energy consumption in the case of a gradual unhurried ascent provides also a longer period of time, which is required. In addition, when you overcome the ladder flight step by step, the rate of muscle contraction accelerates, which leads to an increase in the energy expenditure of the organism.

Previous studies of scientists from the University of Ulster also found the effectiveness of climbing the ladder. Office workers who refused to use the elevator and began to climb the stairs regularly felt an improvement in their well-being and also managed to reduce their weight.

They began to climb the stairs once a week, and then increased the number of ascents up to three times a week.
