Scientists spent much time studying the effect of food on the human body, odako until the end of this relationship has not been studied. Nevertheless, the main cause of chronic pain is inflammation. Experts have reason to believe that certain foods can help alleviate inflammation.

Ilive presents a list of products, some of which can have a beneficial effect on a person's well-being, and some can ease pain.

Salmon

Salmon contains omega-3 fatty acids, which can reduce pain due to the effects on the focus of inflammation. This makes salmon a very useful product, for example, for people with rheumatoid arthritis who have a significantly increased risk of developing heart disease. Experts say that the use of omega-3 fatty acids also helps reduce the risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis and softens the course of the disease.

Olive oil

Olive oil acts in much the same way as omega-3 fatty acids, blocking the mechanism of the appearance of pain in the body, that is, affecting the inflammation. Butter is better to replace with olive oil, because in butter contains saturated fats, reducing the density of bone tissue and provoking the appearance of pain.

Turmeric and ginger

These spices are very popular in India and other Asian countries. In addition to giving the dish a rich taste, ginger has an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. And curcuma contains curcumin, which, according to scientists, reduces pain in the kidneys.

Milk

Some studies suggest that dairy products can help in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. The research of scientists from the University of Iowa suggests that more than 30,000 women who received high doses of vitamin D using different types of dairy products had lower risks of getting rheumatoid arthritis. However, the substance in milk, called casein, is deposited in the joints and can be harmful.

Onion and garlic

Onions and garlic contain phytochemical compounds that help reduce cholesterol, blood pressure, and also alleviate inflammation.

Raspberries, strawberries, blackberries

These berries contain anthocyanins - substances that interfere with the development of hypertensive disease, and also relieve inflammation in the joints with gout and arthritis. In addition, the vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that has analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect.

Whole-wheat bread (gluten)

People who suffer from intolerance to foods that contain gluten in the form of gluten - a disease called celiac disease - have an increased risk of developing arthritis. Gluten is found in wheat, rye and barley, as well as in many grain products, including bread, pasta and cereal. Some medicines, vitamins and lip balms can also contain gluten. Instead of the above products, you can eat beans, nuts and rice.

Sweet drinks

Clear evidence of the relationship between sweet drinks and chronic pain is not, but almost all of them contain few nutrients and many calories, which can provoke weight gain. Namely obesity increases the risk of developing rheumatoid arthritis by 24%.
