In his report on this issue, co-author Michael Schade said: "Unfortunately, we ourselves are harming our children. We produce dangerous products, sell and buy it, without thinking about the value of human life, especially the life of the child. "
Senator Charles Schumer agreed with the scientist and proposed the adoption of a law on chemical safety, through which it would be possible to control the content of toxic substances in goods.

Sue Row of the New York Teachers Association said that her organization hoped that this report would initiate the adoption of new laws prohibiting or at least shielding consumers from toxic products. She also urged parents to pay close attention to the composition of children's products.
Experts say that you can find out about the presence of phthalates when studying the label in detail. If the recirculation symbol contains the number 3, the letter V or the abbreviation "PVC", there is a high probability that hazardous chemicals were used in the production.
