Often, back problems that arise in schoolchildren are associated with mistakes made by parents and teachers. Over the years, the condition of the spine worsens, and by the end of the school the child already has a wrong posture and often suffers from pain in the back, shoulders and lower back. To prevent this, you need to be able to provide the student with suitable conditions for study and minimize the risk of back problems.

First of all, take care that the child does not have to carry weights. Please note that it is the need to wear overly heavy bags and briefcases often leads first to backaches and shoulders, then to deterioration of posture and the occurrence of various diseases of the spine. The weight of the portfolio, along with all its contents, must be ten times less than the weight of the child. If a toddler has to wear too many textbooks, notebooks, etc., find out if some of them can be left in school to reduce the load. If this is not possible, wear some of the things yourself, escorting the child to and from school.

When choosing a backpack, pay attention to his shoulder straps. They should be broad and moderately rigid. Otherwise, the straps will put too much pressure on the shoulders. Also, before buying, be sure to ask the child to put on a backpack and make sure that it is really comfortable. The backpack should fit snugly to the back, and its bottom is located below the waist, almost near the buttocks. In this case, it will become easier to wear, and back pain can be avoided. There is an even more suitable option - a backpack on wheels that you can roll on the ground.

Get your child a table and chair with adjustable height. It is very important that the student can do the lessons without hunching and not suffering from back pain. Elbows and feet must necessarily have a support, knees - be bent at right angles. Make sure that every 30-40 minutes the child briefly stopped training and stood up, did a short workout, or at least just left the room. It will not be superfluous to perform at least 2-3 times a week with the child several exercises to strengthen the back. This will help not only to relieve tension and improve the condition of the spine, but also help the child avoid many health problems in the future.
