50 Most Expensive Cities for Foreigners Published in 2012

Over the past year, the dollar exchange rate has undergone dramatic changes in relation to the euro, changing the position of cities in the annual ranking of the most expensive cities for foreigners of the international consulting agency Mercer.

In general, the strengthening of the US dollar and the weakness of the euro caused the majority of European cities to be at the bottom of the rating. Only two cities in the Eurozone, Paris and Vienna, entered the 50 most expensive cities, while Frankfurt, Germany's most expensive city, went to the bottom and from 73rd place was on the 88th. According to Mercer, the most expensive city in the world is Tokyo, followed by Luanda, Osaka, Moscow and Geneva.
