A number of scientific studies have allowed specialists to conclude that inadequate physical activity leads to a faster aging of cells at the genetic level.
Over a long period, observations were made of the activity and health of 1,500 women of American women, in the age group 64-95 years.
"Our experiments prove that cell structures are more quickly amenable to age-related changes if a person is not physically active enough and prefers to lead a sedentary lifestyle. The present age of a person does not always coincide with his biological age, and very often one can observe the accelerated aging of the organism, which has nothing to do with the actual number of years, "such an American scholar A. Shadiyaba's comment can be read in the American Journal of Epidemiology.
The discovery of scientists was that the so-called telomeres (these are the ends of chromosomes, which are of great importance in the process of cell division, since they ensure the stability of the genome) change and shorten depending on the psychological state of a person and his age. However, now scientists have discovered that the state of the telomer is influenced by the way of life. Thus, in women who lead a predominantly passive life, spending 11-12 hours a day in one place, the length of telomeres was significantly less than that of women of the same age but with a more active lifestyle. An active way of life in this case means a short morning exercise and daily walks.
In the genetic series, the first category of subjects had an age of 9 years longer than that of women in the second category.
What conclusions could specialists make?
To ensure that the terminal elements of chromosomes have the same length as healthy and physically active people, it is only necessary to practice simple gymnastic exercises lasting about half an hour daily.
In addition, hypodynamia contributes to the rapid aging of the body, it also often causes a large number of diseases, which include degenerative changes in the nervous system and brain, malignancies, disorders of the musculoskeletal system and other pathologies.
Of course, age-related changes in the body can not be avoided, however, they should not be accelerated. As previously identified by American experts, the aging process of the human body begins with a 39-year-old age. Accelerating aging, in addition to a sedentary lifestyle, can contribute to:
- regular use of sweets, including useful bitter chocolate;
- obesity and delayed metabolism;
- overeating (especially regular);
- nerve stresses with their subsequent "seizing";
- skipping meals (especially in the morning), eating dry and in a hurry.
Scientists have drawn conclusions from the studies, and they suggest the same thing to you: you need to make changes in your lifestyle and eating habits, because the priority is your excellent health and excellent appearance.
