There is a long-standing debate about the benefits of wine in the community of scientists, some researchers are confident that this drink has a beneficial effect on the human body, while others are questioning their colleagues. Wine can, how to harm the health of a person, and benefit, but in the UK, a team of experts found that the benefit is a wine that was created only by the old recipe and moderate doses.

The composition of the wine includes substances of the procyanidin group, neutralizing endothelin-1 (vasoconstrictor peptide), which negatively affects the work of the heart and blood vessels.

In their new study, British experts determined that not all types of wine are equally useful.

Wines made according to the medieval recipe, which are still used in France and Italy, can be considered useful. In the wine produced in Australia, according to the examination, does not contain any useful substances, and in essence such a wine is just an intoxicating drink. Specialists are sure that only vintage wine has the maximum benefit, since in the process of aging, useful substances appear in it. According to experts, their work will help in the development of new drugs for vascular and heart disease.

But with the conclusions of the British, not all agreed, some experts believe that those wines, for which grapes are grown on their native land, are useful. Maximum health benefits will bring domestic wine. In addition, many wine producers adhere to traditional methods and often use old recipes, so their wines can also compete with the wines of Italian and French masters.

Also, according to experts from other countries, not only varieties of grapes play an important role in the use of the final product, in every wine there are useful substances that were transferred to the grapes from their native land, therefore it is better to choose wines of domestic producers, grown in the native region.

By the way, many believe that wine in small quantities helps to prolong life. In one study, it was found that the rosaveratrol contained in the wine plays a key role in longevity. But this substance in addition to wine is also found in chocolate, raspberries, peanuts. Recent studies by American specialists have refuted previous data - as it turned out, rosveratrol does not affect life expectancy.

Scientists from the Johns Hopkins Medical School studied the state of health of the elderly in one of the Italian villages. Some participants showed a high level of rosveratrol in the blood, others less. For 9 years, while the experiment lasted, 268 people out of 783 died, while the level of rosaverol in the blood of all the dead was completely different.

Based on these data, the scientists concluded that rosveratrol does not affect the life span and the use of red wine or other products in which it is contained will not help to live for several years longer, but the substances that make up red wine help to improve well-being and favorably of course, if they do not abuse.
