Even if a woman loves her job, she may unwittingly pay a high price in terms of health. It is a well-known fact that sitting at a computer for long periods of time is bad for your back, but there are many other factors in office life that can have a detrimental effect on health. Poor office lighting reduces exposure to daylight, which disrupts a woman’s biological clock.

Using computer screens, phones, smartphones, i.e. anything that emits light, aggravates the problem. As a result, metabolism is also disrupted. And if the internal biological clock is not synchronized in real time, this increases the risk of developing alcohol or nicotine addiction. Eating at the desk at work also has negative consequences. Crumbs that remain on the desk and keyboard are a breeding ground for bacteria and fungi. And the temperature in the office (20 °C) is ideal for the development of staphylococcus, which, when multiplying, can cause diarrhea and vomiting.

Faecal contamination is found in the office and on phones, so the more people use technology, the more germs appear there. Therefore, it is very important to wash your hands before eating. Staphylococcus and E. coli, which live in the nose and mouth, can settle on phones. Elevator buttons are the dirtiest places in the office, they have more germs than the toilet, because they are washed much less often.
