The number of Americans with a history of cancer currently stands at 13.7 million. It is projected that by 2022 this figure will grow to 18 million.
According to the Cancer Treatment and Survivorship Facts and Figures, compiled by the specialists of the American Cancer Society, the number of cancer patients is growing due to the aging population and the increase in the number of inhabitants of the Earth. In addition, the survival rate of cancer patients is improving.
