Switzerland is voting in a referendum on two issues concerning voluntary euthanasia.
Local residents will need to answer two questions: whether physician-assisted suicide can be banned and whether this right should be restricted for foreigners.
The proposal to ban euthanasia is not expected to find support among local residents, as it has long been legal in Switzerland.
As for the second question, the answer will most likely be yes. According to surveys, 66% of city residents are unhappy with the influx of suicide tourists.
Let us recall that in 2010, the Zurich Institute of Criminology conducted a survey among residents of Switzerland. The results of the survey showed that the overwhelming majority of Swiss people have a positive attitude towards euthanasia.
