British scientists-neurobiologists have confirmed the long-known fact: bright daylight sunshine positively affects the activity and performance of a person. For a better mood, as well as to increase attention, it is worth choosing a workplace near the window, and an office office - on the sunny side of the building.
British medical publications published the results of several studies that were conducted in the laboratories of Oxford University. Experiments concerned the influence of sunlight and artificial light on the attentiveness and mood of an adult. The head of the study, Russell Foster, insists that daylight has a positive effect not only on the person's vision, but also on his productivity and overall daily activity.
If there is a possibility of choice, then it is worthwhile to use it in choosing a workplace: a well-lighted office desk will cause a good mood and, accordingly, better performance. Also, scientists believe that the time spent in daylight has a positive effect on the quality and duration of sleep.
British scientists noted that in the modern world, most people suffer from lack of sunlight. Adult people increasingly deny themselves the necessary body "dosage" of sunlight. See for yourself, a modern adult person spends most of his time indoors: home, office, clubs, restaurants or cinemas as evening entertainment. Do not be deceived and convince yourself that if the room is well lit, then artificial light can fully replace the solar one. Even the brightest artificial lighting can not replace the sun's rays.
Every person feels the need for sunlight and this is justified from the point of view of science. Medical researches have proved that daylight sunlight favorably affects the skin condition, destroying various bacteria that can cause dangerous diseases. Also, from the energy of sunlight, the nervous system is "charged": a person who has enough time to feed on the sun's rays becomes more attentive, focused, and purposeful, and, accordingly, his work capacity is significantly increased.
Studies conducted in Oxford have proved that the performance of a person who is in an enclosed space all day without sunlight can fall almost 2.5 times compared to those people whose workplace is near the window, under the day sun.
First of all, this dependence is associated with increased attention in those people who have the opportunity to eat sunlight throughout the day. If a person becomes more attentive, he requires twice less time to complete the task or task.
In the absence of the opportunity to choose or change the location of the office table, scientists are advised several times a day to go out and for 15-20 minutes to be under the sun. Even one hour a day will be enough for the stable functioning of the nervous system, improving mood and productivity.
