Specialists from Germany announced the creation of a new drug that will help a person "cure" stupidity. The new drug fights various diseases of the brain, but its main advantage is that it helps both men and women become smarter. It is worth noting that the scientists called their development simply and without any big words - "a cure for stupidity."

The specialists made such conclusions after a series of observations and studies, including laboratory experiments. As a result, it was established that the new drug can be effective in the treatment of dementia; according to preliminary data, the drug almost completely eliminates the disease and improves the quality of life of a person.

Now specialists have begun the experimental stage of testing and are testing the drug on laboratory animals.

After receiving preliminary results of the laboratory study, a decision will be made on continuing further testing of the new drug. In addition, experts noted that the new drug is also capable of suppressing the increased activity of some groups of nerve cells, due to which the ability of the drug to regulate the activity of cells in the brain, improve cognitive abilities, in particular, thinking and concentration, is manifested.

According to experts, great hopes are pinned on the new drug. As doctors believe, the discovery can make a breakthrough in medicine, since dementia is considered one of the most severe diseases affecting humans.

Feeblemindedness is expressed in a persistent decrease in mental activity, the disease is characterized by a violation of cognitive function, behavior. Over time, the disease leads to a violation of intelligence, especially in a creative and abstract form, the cessation or reduction of the acquisition of new skills, knowledge, also a person is not able to use previously acquired experience, mental activity is significantly reduced, over time, individual character traits, emotions disappear, behavior changes completely. Some patients experience lethargy, apathetic behavior, in other cases - motor and speech activity is expressed.

There are several types of the disease. The most severe is considered to be the progressive form - senile dementia and Alzheimer's disease, which only worsen the patient's condition with age.

The disease can affect part of the brain or spread to the entire brain.

In this case, complex forms of intelligence are disrupted, over time, a person's self-criticism sharply decreases, individual traits disappear, and the manifestation of emotions decreases. The disease can end in marasmus or complete disintegration of mental activity.

Alzheimer's disease is the most severe form of dementia, for which there are no effective drugs yet. The disease mainly affects people over 60, but can also occur in younger patients.

What triggers the development of Alzheimer's is not known exactly, but experts suggest that heredity plays a major role in the development of this disease.

Treatment is based on slowing down the dangerous processes that destroy the brain, so the earlier the disease is detected and therapy is started, the greater the chances a person has of living a normal life.
