The pressure at work and home is so high that people spend just 39 minutes a day eating, a study has found. So, even though there is an hour-long break at work, people usually quickly eat a sandwich right there on the job. It takes them an average of 12 minutes and 49 seconds.

Breakfast is an even quicker affair. It lasts only 7 minutes and 20 seconds and usually consists of one piece of toast. Dinner usually takes 19 minutes. That leaves us with 39 minutes and 9 seconds. Sometimes people are so busy that they skip lunch. Women are more likely to do this than men.

Experts state that eating has now become a purely functional activity for 3/4 of adults. They eat food so quickly that they cannot enjoy it or even appreciate its taste. And 45% are so distracted by other things while eating that they do not notice whether they are full. This threatens overeating.

Researchers have found that it is precisely under the pressure of circumstances that people choose this type of meal. 78% of respondents said that they would like to have more time to eat. And nine out of ten said that they rarely manage to attend a family dinner, but they really enjoy this experience. But 31% watch TV during breakfast, 53% - during lunch.

People do not have time to eat properly. This affects a person's emotional state and well-being.
