Apples contain a special type of estrogen, phloridzin, which has a similar effect to the female sex hormone estradiol. The hormone's action is aimed at increasing lubrication in the vagina during intercourse. In addition, apples contain antioxidants and polyphenols, which improve blood circulation in the pelvic area.
As shown by research by specialists in one of the Italian institutes, regular consumption of apples can improve the quality of sexual life in women. However, scientists were unable to identify any cause-and-effect relationship, in their opinion, women who love apples have better health, which is reflected in the quality of sexual life.
In a new research project, scientists analyzed the condition of more than 700 Italian women who were sexually active. None of the participants in the experiment had depressive or sexual disorders, and none of them took medication. The age of the participants ranged from 18 to 43 years.
Scientists divided all women into two groups. In the first group, women had to regularly eat apples, and in the second group, they had to completely give up these fruits. The participants in the experiment filled out a special questionnaire, which had about 20 questions regarding the frequency of sexual contacts, sexual function, orgasm, the amount of lubrication during intercourse, overall satisfaction from sex, etc. As a result, after the experiment, scientists determined that in the first group of women, who had to regularly eat apples, the answers from the category lubrication and overall satisfaction from intercourse were better.
In addition to the fact that apples help improve the quality of women's sex life, they are a natural fat burner. The peel of these fruits contains ursolic acid, which helps increase muscle mass and burn fat deposits. A group of specialists conducted research on rodents that ate mainly fatty foods. Ursolic acid helped the animals burn more calories, which reduced the likelihood of developing diabetes, obesity, and fatty liver disease. As scientists note, the acid can also be useful for the human body.
As you know, there are two types of fat in the human body - brown and white. White is needed to store energy, and brown is needed to produce heat. A large amount of brown fat is observed in children, but as they grow older, its amount in the body decreases. Ursolic acid helps not only to preserve, but also to increase the amount of brown fat in the human body, and also helps to increase muscle volume. It is worth noting that muscles are also involved in the process of burning calories.
In the study, the scientists used an animal model of metabolic disorder, but despite this, ursolic acid contributed to an increase in brown fat in the rodents' bodies and to the strengthening of skeletal muscles.
As a result, as experts note, ursolic acid is a good remedy for combating not only obesity, but also related diseases.
